A quote a day for Women's History Month: 14th March

"Man" always includes "woman" when there is a penalty to be incurred but never includes "woman" when there is a privilege to be conferred.

This work appears to be exceedingly rare: there are a couple of copies listed on Amazon.co.uk at immense prices, and Bookfinder.com doesn't list it under 'Charlotte Stopes' (under which name are included a number of works by her daughter Marie, the famous advocate of birth control. Her reputation as a pioneering feminist scholar has perhaps been occluded by the eminence, or possibly the notoriety, of her daughter.
